You are a teabag in the soup of life

You are a teabag in the soup of life

When I had a near death experience, my life passed before my eyes.

There were only three things that remained important:

Did I give and receive love?

Did I do what I came here to do?

Did I leave the world a little better place than I found it

As I faced what I’d done with my life, I came up short.

I was living as a parasite. Sucking life from the whole, not putting much back, not giving life to others.

I’d been too afraid to live, never let myself really go into love.

I begged life to give me another chance.

Each of us imparts our essence into life.

Whatever you are will flavor the soup.

You can’t fake what you are, you can’t hide your true heart from life.

If you want to make this world a little better, be yourself, share yourself.

Whatever joy and happiness you possess, share it with others.

It doesn’t have to be big. Mother Theresa supposedly said: “There are no big things, only little things done with love.”

Share what you have, a smile, an act of kindness, patting a child on the back.
